Resume Redesign: Small Changes That Make a Big Impact

Resumes don’t need to be flashy. They just need to work.

A few smart tweaks can take your resume from "meh" to memorable.

Here’s how:

1.  Open With a Summary: Two crisp lines that summarise your experience, strengths, and career direction.

2.  Use Clean, Modern Fonts: Stick to basics—Calibri, Arial, or Helvetica. Skip the curly ones.

3. Organise by Relevance: Put the most relevant experience first, even if it’s not the most recent.

4. Use Strong Section Headers: Make it easy to scan: Skills, Achievements, Certifications, Tools.

5. Show, Don’t Tell: Instead of “hard-working,” say “led a team of 5 to increase retention by 30%.”

6. Proofread Twice: Typos scream carelessness. Spellcheck + a human review is a must.

Bonus Tip: Keep it 1–2 pages max. Simplicity wins interviews.
